Andy's Team
Maggie Bertie
Accounts Supervisor
Maggie has been in practice for 15 years, working with Walker Dunnett since 2000. She keeps a client portfolio of limited companies, audits, charities, trusts, solicitors, and pension funds, for whom she prepares and reviews accounts as well as management accounts and the calculation of corporation tax. One day when she becomes rich and famous she will be splurging on an Audi R8, but for now she spends time with her partner Scott and her son Calum. The plan is to visit Disney World in Orlando soon – for Calum’s sake of course!
Susan McFarlane
Group Supervisor
Susan is in charge of sole trader/partnership accounts in the team she supervises, and also deals with the finances of the practice including the payment of purchases and salaries, and with the review of health and safety regulations for Walker Dunnett. Susan has worked with Walker Dunnett for 27 years, originally working with founder Richard Walker. She spends her spare time gardening, reading, and going on holiday; and her favourite sport to watch is tennis.
Helen Allan
Accounts Assistant
Helen not only prepares accounts and calculates corporation tax for limited companies, but also conducts audits when required, as well as ensuring that new team members are trained. Helen stays in Carnoustie, and enjoys spending time with her family (particularly her four grandchildren!). When she goes on holiday, it’s bound to be somewhere hot (i.e., not Dundee in the winter).
Claire Lettice
Accounts Assistant
Claire works with Andy’s team and completes year-end accounts, VAT returns, and annual returns for limited companies. When she’s not working, her list of favourite things includes socialising with friends, or going to the gym, the cinema, concerts, or on holiday! Claire stays in Dundee.
Karen Shovlin
Accounts Assistant
In addition to the standard preparation of accounts and VAT returns, Karen is responsible for the smooth running of the firm’s ‘Businesses Getting Results’ workshop programme. She also assists in the preparation of the firm accounts and in general firm administration. Karen’s “place to be” on the weekend is the pub, and her favourite place to go on holiday is Malia, Crete. Karen stays in Perth.
Jennifer Kerr
Accounts Assistant
New to the team is our Accounts Assistant, Jennifer Kerr. Working on Andy’s team, Jennifer completes year-end accounts, prepares VAT returns, and performs general administration duties for the firm. When she’s not working, Jennifer will be found at a local music festival, or in the pub with music and good friends. Her favourite car is a Mini, and if she could drive it anywhere she’d take it away to Paris (for more music and festivities!).
