Andy Walker

Andy has lived much of his life in Dundee. With both his Father and Grandfather being accountants before him, it was not too long before Andy made his way into the Accountancy business.

Educated at the High School of Dundee and Aberdeen University, Andy went on to qualify with Walker Dunnett & Co as a Chartered Accountant.

After qualifying, he joined an international firm of Chartered Accountants in Aberdeen where he worked looking after businesses with a turnover of up to £10 million with a team of ten.  He also managed to gain valuable experience within different teams before leaving the firm to join Walker Dunnett & Co in 1999.

He became a partner in March 2000 and helps look after the accountancy and taxation office in Dundee and the Financial Services office in Carnoustie. He has overseen many changes in Walker Dunnett & Co with new technology and systems to see them compete in the ever changing world of accounting and financial services worlds.

Andy works with owner managed businesses all over Scotland helping them grow their businesses. He specialises in Accountancy, taxation and business development.

He was a founder director of the Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce and was also on the Board of Directors for various local charities.

Andy is also a member of the Dundee High School Old Boys Club and is a Trustee of the High School of Dundee Trust Fund Appeal which helps fund special projects for the school to the benefit of the pupils and the wider community.

He is a founder member of the Synergy Chapter of Business Network International (BNI), a networking organisation which allows one person from each type of business to join a group of forward thinking entrepreneurs to help grow their business by referrals.  He has been on the leadership team on many occasions helping towards the success of the group.

On a personal note, he is married to Isla whom he met whilst working in Aberdeen and has two children Katie and Michael.  He enjoys football (playing and watching), golf and family time. Andy dreams of owning a black Ferrari Daytona Spider - like the one in Miami Vice.
